Lord Willing pt. II

We’ve met Lord Willing before. The dude has a ridiculous story. One fit for a dream.

Check out our first write-up on Lord Willing—here

“You Got A Hold On Me” is the third track off Lord Willing’s upcoming album, ARE YOU HAPPY?.

“You Got A Hold On Me” is a lofi departure from his older stuff and more similar to BJM and now deceased, Dirty Beaches. Each successive riff adds to the disheveled swagger that seems to emanate from Justin Long—the mastermind of Lord Willing.

This gnarly jam is a fucking slow burner. So, saddle up cowboy. It’s going to be one gnarly ride.

Little Quirks

When things become too much, sometimes you just need to run away.

The Little Quirks are an outfit from down under.

Yes, Australia.

Two sisters and a cousin. Infectious harmonies, acoustic soundscapes, and gorgeous vocals are their specialties.

This is some old school goodness. Homemade apple pie right out of the oven with a scoop of vanilla ice cream good.

Here is the Little Quirks alt-folk jam “Run Away” off their second album, Suzie Knows.

Toledo

TOLEDO is a trippy indie folk-rock band out of Boston.

“Crane Song” is a dynamic track off their debut album—Saint Sebastian.

And, lucky for you—it was released today!

Smooth lofi vocals and intoxicating riffs will soon have you in a hypnotic stupor.

Kofi Daeshaun

Kofi Daeshaun dishes us the reggae track, “So Long”. A deep mix of world instrumentation and a smooth vocal flow.

It’s a good jam to blaze a doob to.

Wildwood

Wildwood reimagines Johnny Cash’s classic “Ring of Fire” with her own rendition complete with strings and ethereal vocals.

They say behind every great man is a great woman, and in Johnnys case, that woman was June Carter, who actually wrote the song (and her sister Anita Carter was in fact the person who first recorded it).

Here is the iconic “Ring of Fire” in the mood of Wildwood.
