Bergfilm

Bergfilm is an avant-garde indie-pop band out of Germany.

Their track “Nostalgic Love” explores romanticism among an older generation.

Bergfilm asks why love at a certain age is socially accepted when it’s caring and devoted but not when it’s impulsive and wild?

This jam is just as daring and experimental as the two aging lovers featured in this heart-wrenching music video.

Absorb and reminisce all you lovers.

“We all are looking for something. For something that suits us. For something special. We are looking for comfort in relationships, experiences or in material things. We are looking for freedom and for something that stays with us.” — Bergfilm

Nick Zoulek

Wisconsin-based Nick Zoulek is a saxophonist and modern artist whose outsider approach has gained him recognition around the world.

“Silhouette of a Storm-Bent Tree” is a primitive yearning for natural beauty and pure art while its sparse instrumentation grates the spirit and sends shivers down the spine.

Truly a bold performance.

“Silhouette of a Storm Bent” Tree has by far been the most involved production of the Rushing Past Willow project, which spans numerous collaborations in dance, animation, and film, along with the 2016 album release. All of the works have a raw and meditative aspect to them, but this piece in particular is far more visceral, feeling shattered as it seeks redemption throughout the story.” — Nick Zoulek

Ben Meyerson

Ben Meyerson is a poet and musician who splits his time between Toronto, Canada and Minneapolis, Minnesota.

“Another Day Blues” is a stunning standalone throwback piece that doesn’t fit into any particular project he’s currently working on. It’s a gritty and primitive folk and blues tune that will shake the utter foundation of your musical preconceptions.

It’s brilliant.

“You’re the lichen in my water:
I won’t go feeling for you no more.
And you’re soaking up my water,
though I don’t feel you anymore —
I asked the storms to wash you away,
and still you’re painted on my door.”

We hope to hear more of the blues from Meyerson.

Talena Bricker

Pacific Northwest native Talena Bricker has been writing songs for nearly 20 years, but only recently has she conquered her fear and been able to present her music publicly.

And thank God she did.

Bricker’s poignant debut single “Drowning” was recorded in her hometown of Richland, WA—and is a dark and powerful indie folk tune exploring her dreams, choices, fears, and loss.

Listen and dig.

“Washed up onto silence and dreams. This loss is as thick as it seems,
But your eyes are like hours and all I can see is the time that is still meant to be.” — Talena Bricker

Dream Harlowe

Dream Harlowe, an indie artist out of Boulder, Colorado brings us “Blue Baby”, a dreamy psychedelic follow-up jam to her debut release.

On this track she evokes smooth and blissful vocals that blur melancholy and optimism.

The nostalgic video is comprised of VHS tapes of Harlowe’s childhood.
