Joal Rush

Joal Rush—an Americana musician out of Nashville—brings us a down home tale of his long and tenuous relationship with the bottle.

As I am also recovering from a hangover this fine morning, this jam really hit me deep.

Here is, “Lesson I’ll Never Learn”:

“Now I’m hurtin’ this mornin’
Like I knew I would
You gave me your best shot
Ooh, you got me good”…

And be sure to keep up with Joal on Facebook and Instagram.

Sure Sure

LA-based Sure Sure brings us the infectious new release “Hands Up Head Down”—a beautiful mashup of dream-pop and indie-rock.

Check it out:

“Sticking out like a sore thumb
Sipping my whiskey soda
Everyone turns and whispers
Oh my god I gotta get out
But I feel a hand grab my shoulder

Your hair’s a little long
Where’d you say you’re from?
You look a little scared
Is there something wrong?
Don’t look at those
Figures in the background
Put your hands up
Keep your head down”

And be sure to follow Sure Sure on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

Spliff Temple feat. Mick Jenkins

Exmag teamed up with JNTH STEIN and Mick Jenkins for the sultry new single “Spliff Temple”—an ode to classic funk and R&B.

Smooth keys, vintage synths, and a down-tempo beat with Mick Jenkins bringing his unique flow are what defines this dope track.

Ducks!

Ducks! is a chilled-out Austrailian duo based out of Berlin, Germany.

“Into The Sea” is the third single off the Ducks! new album, Nak Nak. It’s a spooky, late-night tale of evolution in reverse—humans devolving back on all fours, growing tails, and finally slipping back into the sea, leaving “a world safe from you and me”.

Brilliant stuff.

Ian Terry

Self-recorded and produced, Ian’s short but sweet “cut” is a pulsing lofi folk ballad that poignantly criticizes call-out culture.

…”they’re all glass figurines—don’t say mean things”…
