Throwback Thursday: Drivin’ My Life Away

Eddie Rabbit released this classic jam 42 years ago in 1975.

This one goes out to all you road warriors and truck stop cuties begging for a ride.

This track is a sort of personal anthem for my life and always seems to come on at the most bizzare moments.

Keep on rollin’ baby, the end of the road is not a long way off. You’ll be there before you know it.

J Harold Thompson

J Harold Thompson, a multi-instrumentalist from Córdoba, Argentina released his experimental debut album Last First on August 21st, 2017. It’s a masterful lofi mashup of acoustic Latin guitar and poignant classical music — it’s absolutely gorgeous. A sublime masterpiece. Now, listen and dig my friends.

When I heard this for the first time, I was taken away to a faraway European dreamland, to a courtyard with dogs running about and a closely knit group of musicians sitting about and pouring their heart and souls into a piece of art that would live on forever.

Peace and love from Puno, Peru.
