neek

Neek is the moniker of LA born and raised Nicole Weisberg.

Weisberg’s childhood was filled with music and art.

She then attended the University of California, Santa Cruz, where she studied music.

But after the loss of her father, Nicole went into isolation and only felt at peace when lost in the creative vapors of music. Her loss led to a subconscious transformation. And like a true stoic, she conquered the demons of solitude, found her true inner self, and arose from the ashes a stronger individual.

Neek’s debut release “but why?” questions rejection and reveals the horrors one discovers in the wilderness. The cold soundscape embodies the desolation one feels post-abandonment.

Here is—”but why?”

“In the first reflective months of panic, I kept trying to figure out why it happened and began to drive myself crazy. I couldn’t break the cycle of, why?” —Nicole Weisberg
