Première: Red Little Hands (Only You Know) by Le Days

Some speculate that the ulterior energy underlying the creative process of Le Days is a peculiar process, while others feel it is an esoteric journey of self-actualization, well then, meet Daniel for yourself — the mind behind the sonic madness of an age on the cusp of death.

Daniel has been experimenting with music and the intricacies of the arts for well over a decade and is in the perpetual process of utilizing himself as a conduit to the cosmos in order to show the universe his introspective vision dripping with a raw, and dangerous vibration of artistic freedom.

Here is “Red Little Hands (Only You Know)! A difficult watch, but equally as gripping in a stripped down, and artistic sense. Also, the music is mesmerizing as well, mind you. Now please sit back, and enjoy the newly released track off Le Days’ new project.

On “Red Little Hands (Only You Know)” Daniel takes us down a deep and painful journey few have ventured down. With stripped down acoustics, Daniel invites the listener to travel with him down the deep and dark rabbit hole. And includes a black and white visual that seems obsessive and somewhat gaunt — while provoking dark thoughts and the struggle of living inside of them.

And fret not, for the vocals of liquid gold will flow through you like a fine wine, and at times will seem as if they are on the verge of breaking you. But fear not, for the abyss of Le Days is little for than a black bed of velvet and plush pillows.

Max Bien-Kahn – Wrong Time [SRTV]

Tonight we bring to you a lo-fi track about loneliness in the city. Here is Max Bien-Kahn, and his lackadaisical psych-rock anthem infused with subtle undertones of rockabilly — “Wrong Time”. The song also features vocal harmonies from the lovely Esther Rose and Camille Weatherford (of the Lostines).

Max Bien-Kahn is a songwriter and multifaceted musician based out of New Orleans, Louisiana, where he is the bandleader and creative force behind Max & the Martians. “Wrong Time” is the closing track off Max’s most recent release (under his own name), On the Floor EP. Check it out on Spotify.

Friendly Faces – Why Do I Care [SRTV]

Tonight we bring to you an alternative psych-folk project out of the Windy City of Chicago. Here is the lo-fi bedroom track, Why Do I Care by Friendly Faces. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did. It’s an infectious little tune. Now roll one up, sit back, and take a load off. Friendly Faces will do the rest. Just relax.

The group consists of Cameron Goulder and Griffin Mang who write and record all of their own music. And although the aesthetic is exceedingly mellow in nature — we feel that this song would make for a beautiful background track as the world crumbles and burns to the ground in total chaos. In closing, the imperfections throughout are what makes this track simply perfect.

Give the project a listen on Spotify — they’ve got a slew of good stuff!

Man Tau – Green Bananas [SRTV]

Today, we’re airing Green Bananas by Man Tau. The underground track is a lovely antiquated melody in low fidelity. A true psychedelic slow-burner that evolves throughout — eventually erupting in a gritty guitar solo that will simply make one feel weak at the knees.

The song digs deep, and so should you. Now, take a listen and get lost in the sonic vibrations of Man Tau! Or what he likes to call — rainbow rock!

Being born with a heart (that was too big in all senses of the word), the past life of Man Tau was filled with numerous surgeries as well as a rocky childhood. But instead of giving up and throwing in the towel, Tau bounced back, listened to his above average heart, and made the choice to transform his emotions of heartbreak into music that may very well change a life, or many lives for that matter.

Keep up with Man Tau by giving him a follow on Instagram!

0041: Bobby T. Lewis – Sweet Summer Spirit (2021)

On a crisp December 5th, in the year 2021, Bobby T. Lewis released Sweet Summer Spirit on the independent label, Santa Rosa Records. And as the cryptic rain came down on a dark December night, a winsome melody resonated with my tired spirit.

What it was, I couldn’t quite pinpoint, but one thing I felt for certain was an overwhelming sense of peace. A reprieve from evil — in low fidelity mind you.

A cool dewdrop on a hot summer morning. A warm kitten curled up by the fire on a cold night. An old record sputtering music from an ancient age — both dead and gone, but an age that was never really forgotten. These are the emotions that pique upon the brains of those who dabble in the sonic iridescence of Bobby’s latest project, Sweet Summer Spirit.

What was once a shallow well of electrified madness, is now a stripped down landscape of timeless beauty.

As the ghostly vocals pierce through the misty soundscape of Bobby’s latest release, it reminds one of a time that was almost lost, but a time that was never really found. It’s an intermission of sorts — preparing for the path ahead.

Sweet Summer Spirit is sunshine at dawn — deep within the rolling hills of Missouri. A radiant sound that is both bright and introspective, yet ever so tenuous and distraught with heartbreak — disturbed only by a single drop of rain.

Go get yourself a rad lo-fi mic from Sawyer Cigar Box Guitars! All hail analog.
