Low Hum – Strange Love [a strange poem]

the raging man couldn’t stop thinking about a certain love — it was just such a low and bizarre plight of foolhardy fun

nor could he remember the planet’s silly fate — a thing that reminded him of an old film he had watched on such a lonely night of weight

he was shocked by a strange feeling of fright as he found himself feeling rather melancholy and curiously light

his mind always churning about a feeling that looked so pale and grim

the world was quite frightened by a man so bright they thought the situation had become rather dim

never remembering the old film everyone so loved and admired — he thought the world was nothing but a mire

they tried to distract him with a bomb — but he said it was time to start thinking about the mob

he couldn’t stop thinking about a love that felt so strange — the bird took flight like a morning dove into the crazed array

the strange dove of love was like a lucid dance into the mist of the fading afterglow — never remembering the funny little things he had forgotten so long ago

the wildman took a dive like an iridescent cowboy as his mind mutated into a chronic wasteland of snow and fragmented ice

he couldn’t stop thinking about the strange feeling — a feeling that felt rather nice

Jonny Pickett – Woman of Gold [the golden poem]

how beautiful is the woman of gold

never forget the desired and wanted one — the artificer that’s really ancient

he above all others is the true goldsmith of liars and women of the latent

don’t be upset by how age-old it is

don’t tear yourself apart to see the goldsmith hard at work

the penny that’s really yellow — above all others is the one who is curiously mellow

down down down into the darkness of corinth — gently she goes to the king to the pauper and to the sick one

how happy is the little diamond — the true essence of the woman

a gilt that is not wholly worthy will always be an antique

now unfashionable is just the thing to get me wondering why such a pretty little thing is now forsaken

the ancient greeks of a lost generation now destroyed — how I mourned the loss of the woman of gold

how it makes me shiver in the dead of night

how i pray to aphrodite for but a little strength and might

Lucille Furs

Lucille Furs is a psychedelic indie pop outfit out of the Windy City of Chicago, Illinois.

And now, a poem.

Like a lucid rainbow, I watched euphrosyne laugh so i said hello. She gave her vibrant paint a quick shake and laughed until her belly stopped to ache. The only other sound was a filthy rat as distant birds and bees drew ever back.

The paint was blue and full of yellow but she had no time to keep the colors neat nor mellow, so after cake and an enormous amount of the late night fate — the sweetest of dreams visited her in the depth of sleep.

As she awoke from her soft bed with thoughts of sweet lullabies and unicorns in her head — she ate her jam with lots of bread, now ready for the lucid day ahead.

Youtube Exclusive: Ryder The Eagle | T. Nile

Ryder The Eagle

Ryder The Eagle is an indie dream-pop artist out of France.

“The Picture” is a heartbreaking depiction of the post-depression emotions following the loss of a loved one — an unrequited love that has tragically slipped from ones fingertips and landed in the palm of a lonesome stranger.

Wailing synths and a sad guitar carry the soundscape — as the eagle himself soars to new lows.

The track is absolutely heart shattering. This one goes to out to all you brokenhearted dudes out there.

T. Nile – Note to Self

T. Nile spent her early days in a Galiano Island cabin on the wild coast of British Columbia.

She blurs musical boundaries by fusing elements of indie-pop and folk music.

“Working with both acoustic and electronic instruments gives me a sense of unlimited musical possibility…” – T. Nile

From the age of six until her teenage years Nile accompanied her father (a musician himself) as they toured the West Coast and Australia in an RV.

“Note to Self” is an iridescent indie throwback to the outlaw folk ballad featuring Sadowick and Dave Quanbury. It’s simply a ravishing medley.
