Coyoco – Siren Song [a dreadful poem]

whose song is that

i think i just might know — its maiden is quite sad though

it really is a dark tale of woe — sometimes i watch her frown as she cries hello

she gives her song a violent shake and whimpers until she hears her tears break

the only other sound’s are bleak and cunning as a snake as the distant waves and birds slowly awake

the song is beautifully colorful and deep — but she has white lies to keep

until then she shall never really sleep — the poor girl lies in bed with ducts that leak

she rises from her lonesome bed with weary thoughts of sadness drifting through her head

she sometimes even feels she’s dead — walking through the dream with a never ending feeling of dread

Bandcamp Exclusive: Walker Landing | Luca Longobardi | Beachglass

Walker Landing

Brandon Schilling of Walker Landing, manifests a rich soundscape full of glistening synthesizers, deep bass tones, and vivid vocals.

Landing’s sound is a mystical reflection of the metropolis nighttime grime and fading nostalgic daydreams. The track, and album as a whole, tells a wonderful story of wanderlust, addiction, isolation, and the need to escape to another place. A sort of manic dream into the shadows of reality’s darkness.

Created between Brooklyn, San Francisco, Chicago and Berlin — Landing’s vibrations combine gritty electronic orchestration and a heavy melodic emotion of existential angst.

“I found this home way above the haze, in day dream heights, on palace lawns, where we play the game, a field lounge in the sky, a fountain grove, the neighbors never age, in day dream heights, now we’ll always be together, seeing how you’ve arrived.” — Walker Landing

Luca Longobardi

Luca Longobardi, an experimental pianist and composer among thousands of other things — is an artist out of Rome, Italy — dishing up a pure and calm ensemble infested with a beautiful piano and mesmerizing synths.

The man approaches the classical genre with an openness to electronic exploration — outlining a personal style that is clear and distinguishable from the herd, and highly appreciated both in Italy and around the world.

Luca mainly writes for contemporary ballet, film, and immersive installations. He is the author of original soundtracks and in charge of musical direction for the immersive theater.

“The Garden” is off a 3 track EP, recorded live.

Even though each track has its own independent feeling, they are all meant to be three different experiences along the same journey.

Beachglass

Beachglass is the throwback project of Andrea Cormier, Adam Nicoll, Alexandra Khalimonova and the percussion extraordinaire, Kevin Smith.

The radical band of hedonistic misfits blends chilled out surfer psychedelia and alternative rock with subtle hints of folky undertones. The mashup is a magnificent trip to behold.

The psych-rockers out of Montreal, display a not so conventional style with “Let Me Go” — an infectious track off their new album, Sunroom Sanctuary.

“Let me disappear, into your body, and let it breathe in my soul, wild flowers and ruby orchids, cloud castles and black sand, ah let me go back.” — Beachglass

Lucille Furs – Another Land

“Another Land” is the unprecedented neo-nostalgic sound of the Chicago DIY dream-pop subculture — the birthplace of psych-pop quintet, Lucille Furs.

As the band began conjuring up iridescent harmonies and radical vintage harpsichords — it became quite apparent that the jaded misfits wanted to make something different. To create a unique sound they could call all their own.

So, they fell into a deep sleep and dreamed the most beautiful dream…

As they snapped back to reality, one by one, the mangled group of tattered musicians yearned to create something with the essence of their sweaty basement shows, yet with the unbridled illusions of places and moments they had not yet experienced.

“Another Land” — the title track off Lucille Furs upcoming album Requiem Pour Un Twister (out February 15th of this year) is a whimsical take on the quintet’s initial sonic vibrations.

We can’t wait to hear what Lucille Furs has in store for us. And, we will not rest until the prophecy is fulfilled.

Soundcloud Exclusive: Em Lucia | Los Jardines de Bruselas | Dreaming of Islands | Llollyanna

Em Lucia

Em Lucia — an emerging indie artist from the Southwestern metropolis of Phoenix, Arizona — puts it all on the line with her latest quintessential album, Visions.

“Signs” — a track off of the same album — yearns for a love that seems to be ever-slipping from her tired hands.

The track seems to take one back to a simpler time — a time seething with blissful happiness.

The cheerful vocals and bright soundscape whisks one away to a place encumbered with daisies and iridescent roses void of thorns. A place that seems to be quickly fading with the passing of time.

We hope to hear more from Em Lucia very soon.

Los Jardines de Bruselas

Ezequiel de la Parra is the masterful mastermind behind Los Jardines de Bruselas.

He’s a one man DIY bedroom artist from the romantic city of Buenos Aires — an Argentinian of 30 years who finds inspiration in dreams…and sometimes brings them to life through his music.

Parra’s blurry landscapes are riddled with existential metaphors, and the quite bizarre passing of time. A thing that seems to be accelerating with every fading year.

All of his music was and is recorded in his home-studio, which is presently based in Salzburg, Austria.

Dreaming of Islands

Dreaming of Islands is a dream-pop project from Malmo, Sweden.

Synths, massive guitars and dreamy vocals are the main contributing factors propelling the creative genius of Dreaming of Islands forward. It’s a sonic spectacle to behold.

“Silencio” is a whimsical track inspired by the spirit of Christmas — and is a sublime thing that seems to echo with middle-eastern, psychedelic, and kraut vibrations.

Before you drift off into the noxious illusions of the dreamworld — I urge you to give this track a listen, you will not regret it my friend. This, I promise you.

LLOLLYANNA

LLOLLYANNA is an independent garage band based out of New York City dishing up gnarly jams of mythical proportions.

“Down By Design” is a track that seems to be infested with spinning guitars in a tornado of acidic splendour. A sort of methodical dance through the glistening stars.

The soundscape is splendid, and vocals to die for.

If you’re feeling an itch for a chilled out, yet in your face indie rock jam, well then look no further. You’re in the right place. Now, listen and dig my fine friends.
