YouTube Exclusive Ft. Lew Phillips | Waldeck | Hotel Life

Lew Phillips – “Shake Baby Shake”

Lew Phillips — a classic rock and roller from Canada — is a masterful conglomeration of American and British Rock and Pop music from the ‘50s and ‘60s.

“Shake Baby Shake” is a radical track off Phillips’ recently released, Shake Music — a nostalgic album infused with rambunctious rockabilly undertones and vibrations from an era now dead and gone.

The up and coming Phillips’ uptempo music makes people want to shake their hips, dance, hoop, holler, and have a grand old time.

And now, without further ado — here is THE Lew Phillips!

Waldeck – “Never Let You Go”

Klaus Waldeck is a Viennese electronica musician. He is widely known for his acclaimed album, Ballroom Stories — an influential prototype of the Electro Swing movement.

“Never Let You Go” off Waldeck’s “Atlantic Ballroom” album, is a jazzy remembrance of a time now obsolete. On the track, Waldeck orchestrates a new and fresh landscape of electronic ballroom brilliance.

As a listener, I hear the immense amount of energy that went into bringing “Atlantic Ballroom” to life — it’s a work of opulent artistry. A transcendental piece of Electro Swing.

Deep within the sonic substructure of “Never Let You Go” there is a sense of upbeat optimism that reminds me of something I haven’t yet experienced. It’s a feeling that I fear will never let me go.

Hotel Life – “There Will Be a Tomorrow”

St. Petersburg, Florida outfit — Hotel Life — is an indie band that fucking kills. Their gorgeous single “There Will Be a Tomorrow” is about a breakup and the reassuring light at the end of a long, dark, and dreadfully dreary tunnel.

The track is a mellowed-out, yet experimental 60’s jangle depicting the inevitable good that will eventually come out of a severed relationship.

As Billy from Stranger Things said: “There’s plenty of bitches in the sea”.

The band is comprised of Captain Joe Harley and backed by another stellar band, Luxury Mane.

The single was recorded at The Ward in St. Petersburg, Florida — in the heat of the Summer of 2018. Enjoy.

Los Angeles-based hip-hop artist — Cubgod — brings the heat with his latest slow-burner, “Wearing What I Want”. The track is a pleasurable buttery nightmare that ends with a see-saw chorus of fractal vocals.

Now let the bass fill your mind as you cruise around late at night through the bustling city — and as the swisher burns and fills your car up with smoke — may you ride softly into the midnight air, whispering tender words of nothing.

Cubgod’s “Wearing What I Want” is anchored down by a heavy bass-line — and held up by smooth vocals that seem to glide along the dark soundscape like a nocturnal spider monkey smearing its essence across the translucent skies.

Cubgod’s riveting track is a realistic metaphor — depicting the systems of thought that deter one from its wants and desires. That mental wall that seems to rear its ugly head every time you try to accomplish something. That voice in your head that says, “I don’t give a fuck, do what you want”…

Sounds From The Underground Ft. Domiciles | Elvyn Rhud

Domiciles

Domiciles’ sound is a radical work of sonic artistry; it is an honest manifestation of underground psychedelia gone beautifully awry.

The glowing guitars, blistering tamborine, and raw vocals could make for a Tarantino-esque film score.

Domiciles fresh take on a vintage southwestern sound embodies a piece of the post-modern movement — converging with garage rock and space rock via experimental methods, to create an original texture of authenticity.

Domiciles sound is multi-dimensional in nature, pushing the boundaries and luring the listener to confront the sound in its intended form — raw and authentic vibrations coming from the depths of the underground.

Elvyn Rhud

Elvyn Rhud was conceived when flatmates, Leo Puy and Cassandre Arpin started collaborating musically out of what initially started out as a solo endeavor.

Cassandre later infused percussion and vocals into Leo’s guitar and vocals, which completely altered the sound and direction of the project — turning it into a thing now known as Elvyn Rhud.

The dark and uniquely intense “Orange Is For Love” is a psychedelic anthem to the city they love, the city where they met just two years before — London.

The driving guitars and insistent tamborine seems to pull one down into the clutches of the noxious vocals, consuming you whole, only to spit you out upon an arid piece of desert.

Here is Elvyn Rhud’s righteous — “Orange Is For Love“.

Spotify Exclusive Ft. Coyle Girelli | Jordan Vincent

Coyle Girelli

Originally from Leeds, The Chevin frontman — Coyle Girelli — is now based out of Brooklyn, the city where he recorded his latest album, Love Kills.

Girelli’s debut album was born out of songwriting sessions with legend Mac Davis, writer of iconic Elvis hits such as “In the Ghetto” and “A Little Less Conversation”. It was a monumental experience for Girelli.

“Everything seemed to make more sense to me and I let my voice lead the way” Girelli said after the experience.

Love Kills is a dark, yet cinematic Americana throwback doused in 1950s charm and wreaking with melodically driven ballads. It’s a guitar heavy album complete with sultry vocals and tantalizing grooves. Listen at your own risk my friend.

Jordan Vincent

Jordan Vincent is an indie artist out of Los Angeles, California — mixing up hot jams and spitting gnarly rhymes over experimental soundscapes.

Vincent just released his most delectable work to date, his EP, There is No Line — a project dripping with misinformation, simulation theories, drum machines, conspiracies, and lacking in harmonic dissonance. It’s a modern take on Beatlesque melodies and indie psych-pop. A wonderful trip to behold.

The track, “Sister Jill“ is a radical departure from the other four tracks on the album, and is our favorite jam. The song will take you on a nice stroll through the couriers of time, and leave you in a familiar place, somewhere between sixties psychedelia and Muse.

Now sit down, take a load off, and soak in the fantastic vibrations of Jordan Vincent’s “Sister Jill“.
