Bandcamp Exclusive Ft. Lukka | My Bambi

My Bambi

My Bambi is an experimental artist out of Asheville, North Carolina. His latest DIY project is an indie diamond in the rough — a sonic ensemble of gnarly guitar work and wicked fuzz.

And now without further ado, here is the lo-fi masterpiece “autoways” off My Bambi’s latest album, whitedaewoo.

Lukka

NYC-based Lukka is a psychedelic wanderer — taking music of the sixties and seventies and putting her very own spin on a sometimes worn genre. The result is a fresh, yet hypnotic dose of dopamine-inducing vibrations.

Lukka’s eclectic aura of vintage vocals and iridescent soundscapes transports one to a place far from the worries and angst of our semi-translucent reality.

Here is Lukka’s latest release — “Black Hole Fusion”. Listen and dig.

The Royal Palms

Transmitting from somewhere in Los Angeles, CA — The Royal Palms lull us into a timeless sleepy slow dance with their new track, “Summer Girl“.

Reverb-drenched vocals, guitars, and sounds of the ocean are the foundation for this classic track. It’s one for the ages.

As the twilight of summer rests its weary head, a cool wind drifts through the land, bringing with it a new season of life.

Check out The Royal Palms’ new EP on Spotify and/or Soundcloud.

NVDES

“Mind Body Soul Music“ by LA-based artist NVDES is an intense track from the Jungle of a metropolitan wasteland. An homage to an era now gone. A sort of gyrating masterpiece of authentic movement and frantic desperation set to the colorful world of NVDES.

Here’s the first music video of an eleven part video series.

The vocals take one back to a time of iconoclastic galore. A sort of contemporary throwback to the classic dance track.

“Mind Body Soul Music” was filmed in Idyllwild, CA at the Infamous Hicksville Pines Bud and Breakfast. Here, we meet the first character of the story, Flocky.

Check him out on Soundcloud, and here’s a link to his website.

Darby

The old town of Cologne, Germany spins in tonal hues of browns and grey, lost and vacant…

Darby’s “Cologne Was Coming Down From The Moon“ is a classic folk tale of poignant story-telling. A labyrinth of shallow faces looking through the window glass — lost and wandering the unknowable.

The track was recorded live at One Flight Up studios earlier this year.

The psychedelic soundscape and earthy vocals are reminiscent of a modernized Joni Mitchell fronted Fleetwood Mac. A cosmic dance into the underworld of indie art.

Keep up with Darby on Facebook, and listen to her latest tracks on Soundscloud.

The Little Miss

Today, The Little Miss adds an authentic flavor of folk art to the collective masterpiece. A romantic tale of a young girl lost in the labyrinth of life — trying to find her way home. Much like the fantastic fables of Alice and Dorothy.

“Take Me, Too” off The Little Miss’ American Dream EP, is an absolutely stunning track. Magnificent in the simplest of ways. And quite curiously relevant in these trying times.

“A happy ending is nothing without the hero’s journey,” The Little Miss states. “Take Me, Too” is a take-charge kind of song, a realization that life’s ups and downs are pivotal and that there is beauty in taking the winding path and the opportunities it brings.”

The Little Miss adds, “I wrote ‘Take Me, Too’ shortly after moving to Los Angeles to pursue music. The weight of my pursuit was crushing. I knew two people, I couldn’t find a steady job and I didn’t know where to begin. More than anything, I wanted to jump ahead to the place in my story that said, ‘and she lived happily ever after.’ I didn’t want to do the leg work.”

Sometimes less is more. And “Take Me, Too” is no exception. The stripped down soundscape is a primitive homage to the classic ballad. An iridescent throwback to a simpler time.
