juno roome

We knew next to nothing about juno roome before we heard “capitol”. And, it’s safe to say that we still know very little, but what we do now know is that juno roome is a meteor preparing to take flight.

The overarching sound of juno’s latest release is an ethereal semblance of harmonic artistry intertwined with a mournful illusion of a faded dream. And while the ornate collection of guitars and drums drive the track forward, the ethereal vocals float atop a hazy soundscape littered with pure emotion.

As the track’s finale culminates in pure sonic ecstasy, our hearts here in the studio fluttered with butterflies. We feel that this sound is truly a vision of the near-future of outsider indie.

While still maintaining a reflection of a nostalgic mood from the past, it’s music like this that makes the journey bearable, and even enjoyable if one attains the outlook of abundance, and begins to envision the path of the surreal.

Appreciate the journey and try not to look back. It will all be over before we know it. The ride is long, and it will be hard at times, but it will all be worth it in the end.

Keep up with juno on Spotify and be sure to give the project a follow on Instagram. Also, stream Juno’s music from other platforms and check out his radical shirts, here.

Sophia Fitch

Three years ago, Sophia Fitch left New York and drove across the width of the country while six months pregnant. Upon her return to her hometown of Berkeley, California, she had her baby, and embarked upon a musical journey of enchantment.

“Where Do I Go From Here” was written about a time when Sophia felt lost and had little sense of direction. Though the struggle was hard, she found solace in the unfolding of the journey.

Sophia concocts her catatonic vibrations of sorcery using atmospheric vocals, tantalizing synthesizers, and a curious persona that explores the journey in discovering how to dance with your shadow.

The sound is a modern dose of dream pop infused with elements of bedroom psychedelia. Sophia has future projects on the horizon, so give her a follow on Spotify to keep up with all her new releases!

Duglo

Duglo is a lo-fi artist out of Brooklyn who makes music on his computer. Duglo draws from a diverse range of influences, but is always striving to shape his own sound and unique flavor of authentic artistry by acting outside the box.

The title track from Duglo’s new album is a colorfully faded tapestry of delicate dimensions and intricate sounds intertwined with a subtle yearning filled with an emotional desire of solitude and naive remorse.

The track starts off slow, flirting with dissonance, but then starts to slowly build and evolve until its final note of delicate emotion.

Ambient electronic soundscapes with an explicit emphasis on ornate textures and a delicate emotion are what makes Duglo stand apart from the herd. Now give the project a follow on Spotify!

Emma Paunil

Emma Paunil is a pianist and dancer who focuses on improvisational art forms, and loves to create compositions from the heart for the sole purpose of healing and personal transformation.

Emma’s mission as an artist is to comprehend the complex emotional release and regenerative properties that music & other artistic forms can have upon practicing individuals.

“Water Snake” is a grounding and ethereal track that invokes a melancholy and nostalgic vibration. Emma’s love for snakes stems from their hyper-awareness and essential part in a well-balanced ecosystem. Furthermore, water snakes are smooth in movement, and unquestionably unique.

As you might’ve guessed, Emma Paunil is an animal lover and her entire album of instrumental music was developed by envisioning symbolic forms of animals, and allowing the creative natural flow to take control. Now follow Emma on Spotify all you filthy animals.

Oracle Sisters

Oracle Sisters are a Paris-based project featuring Lewis Lazar, Christopher Willatt and Julia Johansen.

Lewis Lazar is a painter and Christopher Willatt is a mathematician (they have both been making music since they were childhood friends in Brussels) and Julia Johansen is an artist from Finland who backs up the boys with her beautiful harmonies and secret skills on the drum set.

“The Dandelion” pushes the Oracle Sisters’ sonic evolution forward by fusing elements of rock, psychedelia, and disco into a sound that is truly original and second to few.

The project’s influences are broad in spectrum, and also quite unconventional. Indeed it’s this ability (the ability to immerse themselves into any subject) that sets the Oracle Sisters apart from their contemporaries of mockingbirds. The band members find meaning within cinema, philosophy, paintings, and music – resulting in a message that is both warm and familiar, and cryptic yet paradoxically nostalgic. Tommy Nelson

Tommy Nelson (no, not the evangelical pastor from the deep murky waters of YouTube) is a psychedelic artist out of Chicago, Illinois.

Tommy’s latest single is entitled “The Psychic Cake Mix”. The iridescent track is a radical reflection of an individual who has taken the dive and eaten the forbidden fruit. Yes my friend, it’s a strung-out psychedelic slowburner that reminds us of nothing, really. And, we think that’s a beautiful thing.

So, if originality is what you’re after, Tommy, well then we think you’ve nailed it perfectly. If such a paradoxical word of perfection even really exists… Nevertheless, get lost in the hypnotic vibrations of Tommy Nelson’s freshest track off the old weary noggin of the creative un·con·scious.

As one may brood upon the ornate complexities of our supposed reality, Tommy’s latest track is intended to take the listener on a surrealist, melancholic sonic journey, enveloping us in cascading layers of brisk guitars and smooth synths that explode into a frenetic climax. Or so he once said…

Indeed, the masterpiece is a lo-fi, psychedelic backscattering of a feverish dream of sorts. A dream we may all be experiencing this very moment. In some form or another.

Tommy’s track “The Psychic Cake Mix” is now available on Spotify, Apple Music, Soundcloud, Bandcamp, and just about everywhere else music is available. And, will also soon air on our radio show. Now hold on tight, and don’t let the bedbugs bite. We’ll be back soon.

Norman Lake

Norman Lake brings to us a hopeless slow-burner from the sandy shores of Southern California. The track is reminiscent of an arid emotion stripped of semblance and woven together with an introspective narrative that we can all relate to at one time or another.

Every line of this haunting track seems as if it was pulled like a needle from the corpse of a dead porcupine.

The lyrics talk about the hardship of change. An evolutionary concept we all struggle with. And brings to light the transcendental truth we all seem to have a difficult time perceiving.

Norman Lake’s “Mother Mary” is about being afraid of the unknown. Yet each line brings to light a hopeless cry, and even when salvation descends upon us, we declare that we are still afraid.

Only a 4 track tape cassette and all analog gear were utilized in the recording.

The unbridled and raw sonic texture culminate in a tumultuous and warm emotion that seems to ripple through the body of the listener. And as we move through the rhythmic construct of reality, a funny thought penetrates the minds of those who peer into the darkness.

They see that they are like dust in the wind. Nothing but a fading star set amongst an expanding, and never-ending galaxy. Nothing more than a speck of dust suspended in a light beam.

“I hope this song brings company to those sitting with feelings that seem too insurmountable to conquer.” – Norman Lake

Beipana

beipana’s new midnight project (entitled “Late Night Fog”) is a low fidelity masterpiece from the manic depths of the lucid state of subconscious bliss.

The steel guitar consumes the mind of the listener as it sways to and fro – just as the organ endlessly slumbers into catatonic convulsions of primitive ecstasy.

And as the human awakes from his long slumber, the apeman will once again remember a thing he forgot long ago. Something that he’ll never again forget to forget – until he forgets it again…

Indeed, beipana’s latest track “Late Night Fog” sounds like something Ry Cooder would have dreamt up in the middle of an existential vision – under the desolate wasteland of the arid desert moon.

In short, “Late Night Fog” is a minimalistic, yet laidback work of art fit for a peaceful springtime night in the midst of a pandemic that has brought the global system to its knees.

May this track bring you some much-needed comfort as the bacterial wave makes its way across the globe…
