The Oneflower Tribe

The Oneflower tribe is an alternative bohemian outfit from the Finnish archipelago of The Aland islands.

The Tribe’s eclectic vibration is intensely organic by use of acoustic instruments as well as a natural variation of percussive elements.

Here is their latest project, Instantly Outmoded.

The outfit utilizes random things from around the house in an attempt to distinguish their originality. They think this is a contributing factor to the playful and intimate sound as well.

It’s the kind of music that’s perfectly suited for the bedroom or late night meanderings of introspection.

The project was written and recorded by Johan Enblom.

Luego

Luego is the sonic brainchild of Patrick Phelan.

The project began back in 2006 in North Carolina. But in 2013, Phelan moved out to Los Angeles, to fulfill his lucid dream.

Here is Luego’s latest lo-fi work of art, “The Man”.

The arid vocals and gravely soundscape mesh in a beautiful and perfectly balanced sonic spectacle.

We hope to hear more from Luego very soon.

The album was recorded in North Carolina in June and September of 2018 under long time producer and friend, Jeff Crawford.

Credit Electric

From a very young age Credit Electric’s Ryan LoPilato wrote songs to “sing out the lightness of the things in life we find dark.”

His sound is focused around raw and improvised one take recordings of the guitar and keyboard. This process of writing has led to an outpouring of material LoPilato made into a full band ensemble.

Here is Credit Electric’s somewhat provocative, yet intensely interesting modern throwback of a track, “Because of You”.

“I try to write every day,” says LoPilato, “the (writing) process for me has always been a meditation, a place to find harmony within the suffering beauty of life. It’s something I would be doing with or without an audience.”

With quite frequent live performances, Credit Electric has been supporting an eclectic variety of touring artists such as US Girls, Japanese Breakfast and The Deep Dark Woods. 

The band recorded their debut LP with producer Thom Monahan in San Francisco at Tiny Telephone and at Golden Void in LA.

Baby FuzZ

“What U Gonna Do 4 Luv”, a brand new track from Baby FuzZ, is a modern throwback to an era infested with the funk. The artwork, production, and creative artistry of the single are all top notch. A common occurrence akin to the FuzZ.

Baby FuzZ seems to build upon a thing once thought worn and dead, and brings back to life a fading memory, making it all his own.

Fueled with an intense energy, vintage guitars, and vibrant vocals, the electric vibrations of the FuzZ breathes new life into the ever-growing realm of all that is lo-fi indie. A pervasive genre that really can’t be labeled.

In conclusion, “What U Gonna Do 4 Luv” is a radical jam through and through, and will quickly slither into your brain and down to your toes in no time.

Christopher Kaasik, the brain behind the lo-fi project, luvwn, is an introverted art school dropout who hails from the small and quiet land of Estonia.

“I’m really obsessed with the idea behind voodoo and hypnotizing and I think the eerie sound is just how it translates into my music” says luvwn. “I think my sound can function as a reminder that there are many small things in life you can enjoy…”

luvwn’s new single “sume” is a mellow chillhop jam, with a slight nostalgic and somewhat depressing vibe to it.

Very Nice Massage is made up of New York City native Chris Retsina and Australian rambler Zach Stolz.

Sal Dulu

“Xompulse” is the latest track from Irish composer, Sal Dulu. The new track is a unique and beautiful piano piece that is beautifully infused with subtle ambient influences of classical and jazz music.

The lo-fi sound seems to whisk the listener away to a warm and fuzzy place with sweet dewdrops on every waking face.

Since releasing his first track back in 2017, Dulu has slowly become known as an artist who is unafraid to push the sonic boundaries of what is conventional.

Dulu now seems to be on the verge of creating something groundbreaking — a fresh new soundscape that may very well alter the indie sphere of neo-classical music.

Fax Machine

Fax Machine spends most of their waking and sleeping hours in a bright yellow wooden box filled with musical instruments and all the time in the world.

Their synths are warped, guitar strings busted, and the aging piano named ‘Angry Bruce’, doesn’t even pay rent. The result is a sound that is slightly demented, yet more infectious than the disease in the film, 12 Monkeys.

Fax Machine’s “Stalin” — an avant-garde lo-fi banger recorded on an old piano in a former vicarage on the outskirts of Newcastle, and in a cave on the Northumbrian coast line — takes one on a methodical ride through the cosmic oceans of neo-classical music.

“Stalin” is the second track off the double A-side single “Eddie Morphy / Stalin” released on 1st of Feb, 2019 — via Treetrunk label.

Mattia Cupelli

Mattia Cupelli is an italian composer based out of Rome, Italy. 

He infuses neo-classical and ambient sounds of whimsical quality with minimal contemporary electronic and modern piano music.

His latest works are highly influenced by the artists — Nils frahm and Nicolas Jaar.

The vivid acoustic soundscape of “Empty Spaces” sets the mark ever higher for Cupelli’s eclectic sound of cinematic magnitude.
